Starting at only $25/month. Northball Athletics offers comprehensive basketball programs for students ages 5-19.
Our programs — including Northball Starters (ages 5–10), Rising Stars (11–14), Court Queens (all girls 10–14), Hoop Clinics (14–19), and Camps (5–11) — are designed to build basketball fundamentals, enhance game IQ, and grow confidence in a supportive, team-focused environment led by experienced coaches.
We prioritize people over profit, which is why we offer all our programs at cost, making them as accessible as possible for families in our community.

Northball is more than just a sports program—it’s a growing hub for family transformation. While athletic development is at our core, our vision extends far beyond the court. We’re actively creating opportunities to support and empower parents and caregivers, recognizing the vital role they play in a child’s growth.
We’re also building strong partnerships with local schools to help enhance academic development and promote mental readiness in our students—ensuring they thrive both on and off the court.
LevelUp: Empowering Parents, Strengthening Families
At United Scarborough Initiative, we believe that when parents grow, families thrive. That’s the heart behind LevelUp, our professional development and empowerment series – a joint program with Northball Athletics – designed specifically for parents and caregivers.
LevelUp events are dynamic workshops and training sessions that equip parents with practical skills, knowledge, and inspiration to succeed both professionally and personally. At each event, we bring in qualified experts from various fields, including career development, financial literacy, mental health, parenting strategies, digital literacy, and more, who provide hands-on learning and mentorship.
These events are more than just classes, they are community-building experiences where parents feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
We believe parents are the most critical influence in a child’s life. As we often say, “If the parent wins, the child wins.” That’s why we invest in them with the same passion and intention as we do their children. By strengthening the foundation of the family, we’re helping to build a stronger, more resilient Scarborough, one household at a time.
LevelUp isn’t just about learning, it’s about lifting. Lifting parents toward new opportunities, lifting families out of cycles of struggle, and lifting our entire community toward a more hopeful future.
Partnering With Schools
Coming Soon: Deeper School Partnerships to Support Student Success
At Northball, we’re expanding our efforts to work more closely with local schools to address some of the most pressing challenges students face today. Through ongoing conversations with teachers and principals, a clear need has emerged—students are struggling with academic engagement and mental health readiness.
In response, we are developing strategic partnerships with schools to help create environments that uplift, encourage, and inspire. Our goal is to surround students with positive role models, skilled coaches, and enriching programming that motivates them to reach their full potential—both inside and outside the classroom. Together, we’re working to build belief, resilience, and a brighter future for every student.
DYNAMIC MULT-ACTIVITY
Spring & Summer Camps
When school is out, our facility transforms into a vibrant hub of discovery for our week-long multi-activity day camps for children ages 5-11. These camps are provided at cost, so they are accessible to all families. Running from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, each day is a carefully crafted blend of sports, creative arts, and team games, designed to keep young minds and bodies active. Most importantly, woven into every game and craft session is a focus on building character, intentionally.
Fostering teamwork, respect, hard work, and compassion in a fun, high-energy setting. We believe that a child’s break from school should be more than just a way to pass the time; it should be an adventure in growth, creativity, and connection. Our week-long camps are designed from the ground up to be a safe, inclusive, and high-energy environment where every child can explore new interests and, most importantly, be themselves.

At Northball Academy, we believe in more than just the game. We are a vibrant and visionary sports organization dedicated to fostering athletic excellence and personal growth in every young athlete we train. Located in the heart of Scarborough, ON we proudly service students from across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

This partnership is dedicated to nurturing the inner lives of our athletes by integrating mindfulness practices designed to improve mental health, cultivate mental fortitude, and enhance overall performance.

Participating in competitive sports with Northball Academy offers students a myriad of benefits, fostering not only athletic prowess but also crucial life skills. Through the rigours of competition, students develop enhanced discipline, teamwork, and resilience, learning to navigate both victories and setbacks with grace and determination. These experiences build character, promote problem-solving abilities under pressure, and instill a strong work ethic that extends far beyond the court or field.

Through our innovative programs, we provide young people with the tools they need to grow in character, develop responsibility, and discover their potential. After School Programs
USI provides after-school programs that combine academic support, recreational activities, and life skills development. These programs not only improve academic outcomes but also offer a positive, engaging atmosphere, reducing youth involvement in high-risk behaviours.
Life Mentoring
Our mentorship program pairs youth with experience mentors who provide guidance in academics, career development, and personal growth. Mentorship has been shown to enhance self-esteem and increase the likelihood of success in education and employment.
Connection Events
USI’s movie nights create a safe and inclusive environment for famlies to gather, relax, and enjoy films together. These events foster stronger community bonds and offer a fun way to unwind and socialize. Each night will feature a “film of substance” sparking further conversation and life postitive reflection and values.
Many seniors face isolation and struggle
LifeSpark is dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors through activity-based programs, nutritious meals, and educational workshops. By promoting social engagement and lifelong learning, LifeSpark ensures seniors remain active, connected, and fulfilled.
Promoting Active & Engaged Living
We are committed to enhancing the well-being of seniors by offering a range of activity-based programs that support physical and mental vitality. From group exercises to recreational games, these activities are designed to keep seniors energized, socially connected, and positively engaged in their daily lives.
Educational Workshops
LifeSpark’s educational workshops are designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and promote lifelong learning. Covering topics from wellness and technology to creative expression and personal development, these sessions help seniors stay mentally sharp, informed, and actively involved in their community.
